Slow Cooker Texas Pulled Pork

Ingredients

  • 1 Teaspoon Vegetable Oil
  • 1 Whole Pork Shoulder Roast (4 Pounds)
  • 1 Cup Barbecue Sauce
  • 1/2 Cup Apple Cider Vinegar
  • 1/2 Cup Chicken Broth
  • 1 Tablespoon Prepared Yellow Mustard
  • 1 Tablespoon Worcestershire Sauce
  • 1 Tablespoon Chili Powder
  • 1 Whole Onion
  • 2 Whole Garlic Cloves
  • 1 1/2 Teaspoons Dried Thyme
  • 1/4 Cup Brown Sugar

Directions

  1. Pour the vegetable oil into the bottom of a slow cooker. Add the onions and place the pork roast on top.
  2. Mix all other ingredients and pour over pork shoulder.
  3. Cover and cook on high until the roast shreds easily with a target internal temparature of 190°-195°.
