Rhubarb Cake

Ingredients

Cake
  • 1 1/2 Cups Brown Sugar
  • 1/2 Cup Shortening
  • 1 Cup Sour Milk
  • 2 Cups Flour
  • 1 Teaspoon Soda
  • 1 Whole Egg
  • 1 1/2 Cups Rhubarb, Chopped
Topping
  • 1/2 Teaspoon Cinnamon
  • 1/2 Cup White Sugar

Directions

  1. Sour milk by mixing in 1 tablespoon vinegar per cup and letting it rest for 5 minutes.
  2. Mix all cake ingredients.
  3. Place in a glass 9 x 13 pan.
  4. Mix topping ingredients and sprinkle over top of batter.
  5. Bake 50 minutes at 350°.
