Baked Carmel Corn

Recipe from Grandma Rauscher

Ingredients

  • 1 Cup Butter
  • 2 Cups Brown Sugar
  • 1/2 Cup Light or Dark Syrup
  • 1/4 Teaspoon Baking Soda
  • 1 Teaspoon Vanilla
  • 24 Cups Popped Corn or Puffed Corn
  • 1 Teaspoon Salt

Directions

  1. Melt butter. Stir in brown sugar, corn syrup, corn syrup, and salt.
  2. Boil for 5 minutes. Remove from heat and stir in soda and vanilla.
  3. Gradually pour over corn, mixing well.
  4. Bake at 250° for 1 hour, stirring every 15 minutes.

It is good not baked too.
