Rock and Rye

Ingredients

  • 1 Whole Liter Rye Whiskey
  • 8 Ounces Rock Candy or Similar Sugar
  • 12 Whole Cloves
  • 3 Whole Star Anise
  • 3 Whole Cinnamon Sticks
  • 1 Whole Orange, Thinly Sliced
  • 1 Whole Lemon, Thinly Sliced

Directions

  1. Stir ingredients together in a 4 qt glass jar with a lid.
  2. Let steep at room temperature for 2 days or up to a month.
  3. Strain and serve over ice.
Notes

Dried apricots and pitted cherries can be added as well if desired
