Banana Bread
Recipe from Anita Werner
Ingredients
- 1 Cup Brown Sugar
- 1/2 Cup Shortening
- 2 Whole Eggs
- 1 1/4 Cups Mashed Bananas
- 1 1/4 Cups Flour
- 1/2 Teaspoon Salt
- 1 Teaspoon Soda
Directions
- Cream sugar and shortening. Add eggs and bananas, mix well.
- Stir in flour, salt, and soda until blended thoroughly.
- Bake for 1 hour in 9x5 inch greased and floured loaf pan at 350°.
- Cool in pan 10 minutes, then cool on wire rack.
Notes
Chocolate chips and/or nuts can be added if desired.
