Banana Bread

Ingredients

  • 1 Cup Brown Sugar
  • 1/2 Cup Shortening
  • 2 Whole Eggs
  • 1 1/4 Cups Mashed Bananas
  • 1 1/4 Cups Flour
  • 1/2 Teaspoon Salt
  • 1 Teaspoon Soda

Directions

  1. Cream sugar and shortening. Add eggs and bananas, mix well.
  2. Stir in flour, salt, and soda until blended thoroughly.
  3. Bake for 1 hour in 9x5 inch greased and floured loaf pan at 350°.
  4. Cool in pan 10 minutes, then cool on wire rack.
Notes

Chocolate chips and/or nuts can be added if desired.
