Blackened Tilapia
Ingredients
Blackened Seasoning
- 1 Tablespoon Smoked Paprika
- 1 Teaspoon Cumin
- 1 Teaspoon Thyme
- 1 Teaspoon Oregano
- 1/4 Teaspoon Cayenne Pepper
- 1/4 Teaspoon Garlic Powder
- 1/4 Teaspoon Salt
- 1/4 Teaspoon Fresh Cracked Pepper
Other
- 1 Tablespoon Butter
- 4 Whole Tilapia Filets
Directions
- In a small bowl, combine all blackened seasonings. Liberally coat both sides of each tilapia filet with the spices.
- Melt butter into skillet over medium heat. Add two of the filets at a time and cook for about two minutes on each side, until the spices have turned a deep burgundy color and fish is thoroughly cooked.
