Baked Caramel Corn
Recipe from Grandma Rauscher
Ingredients
Caramel
- 1 Cup Butter
- 2 Cups Brown Sugar
- 1/2 Cup Light or Dark Syrup
- 1 Teaspoon Salt
Finishing
- 1/4 Teaspoon Baking Soda
- 1 Teaspoon Vanilla
Popcorn
- 24 Cups Popped Corn or Puffed Corn
Directions
- Melt butter and stir in Caramel ingredients.
- Simmer for 5 minutes.
- Remove from heat and stir in finishing ingredients.
- Gradually pour over corn, mixing well.
- Bake at 250° for 1 hour, stirring every 15 minutes.
Notes
It is good not baked too.
