Baked Caramel Corn

Recipe from Grandma Rauscher

Ingredients

Caramel
  • 1 Cup Butter
  • 2 Cups Brown Sugar
  • 1/2 Cup Light or Dark Syrup
  • 1 Teaspoon Salt
Finishing
  • 1/4 Teaspoon Baking Soda
  • 1 Teaspoon Vanilla
Popcorn
  • 24 Cups Popped Corn or Puffed Corn

Directions

  1. Melt butter and stir in Caramel ingredients.
  2. Simmer for 5 minutes.
  3. Remove from heat and stir in finishing ingredients.
  4. Gradually pour over corn, mixing well.
  5. Bake at 250° for 1 hour, stirring every 15 minutes.
Notes

It is good not baked too.
